Artist Tony Tasset is scheduled to unveil the “EYE” on July 7 in Pritzker Park!
The EYE is a 30 foot sculpture constructed of steel and fiberglass. It is modeled after Tony Tasset’s own eye and will remain on display through October. This piece of art is part of the Chicago Loop Alliance’s first annual “Art Loop 2010” located at Pritzker Park on State and Van Buren. Tony will also unveil a piece named the CARDINAL, which is a collection of 156 street banners revealing a red cardinal in flight against a blue sky. This exhibit is a great opportunity for art enthusiasts to view a world renowned artist’s one-of-a-kind pieces in a town known for its art collections.
